Paul, that used to concern me too, but it is really no problem. The eBay categories are like a tree with many branches. For example, there is a "Casino" category that has subcategories like chips, strikes, tokens, etc. If you are interested in strikes and tokens and don't want to look at them separately, you could click "Casino" and look at the whole group of categories together.............. So if "Chips" were broken up into"recent issues under $10", "poker chips", "ivory chips", etc., you could still click the "Chips" main trunk link and view all the subcategories mixed together as they are now.
To repeat somewhat, many don't know this, but it is interesting that (I'll use chips as an example) you CAN NOT list your auctions in the "Casino" category, but you can click it to view all the items in the Casino subcategories!
