Not counting place bets must piss off alot of people.

Though I pretty much stick to line bets and come bets with odds, it appears to me that most people I see playing place a small line bet and put most of their money on place bets.

One night at the convention a couple of years ago I was staying at the Flamingo. I was playing late night early morning. Betting 5 on the line and a couple of come bets all with full odds. In the morning when I was going to leave the table to get ready to check out I asked for a host hoping to get some of my room charges reduced.

The host came over and told me that they had me at as a $50 bettor for 6 hours. The only way they could have me at $50 would be if they were counting the odds, and all he did for me was take care of the meals and drinks I had charged to the room (which wasn't much).
