I just weighed two chips and a 4x7 bubble mailer on an admittedly inexpensive postal scale and it came out to be 60¢(over 1oz.), plus the 12¢ non-machinable charge.
I didn't weigh the cardboard sleeve I put each chip in, which also costs me 10¢ each. So that's another 20¢.
I dunno, I don't think anything under $2.00 is too much to charge for a couple of well packaged chips. $1.00 seems reasonable for one chip.
I clearly need to find a cheaper source of envelopes though. :)
I'm curious to see what others think.
