An article in the latest Las Vegas Advisor indicates three new casinos will open in the next month or so. The Cannery in N. Las Vegas is scheduled for this Friday, Jan 3. Both the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas and Tuscany on E. Flamingo have announced openings on January 16.

Another announcement is not for a new opening, but for a pair of name changes I hadn't heard about. Arizona Charlie's is changing the name of their two locations... the classic Charlie's now called Arizona Charlie's West will change to Arizona Charlie's Decatur. The newer location, currently called Arizona Charlie's East will become Arizona Charlie's Boulder. It's on Boulder Highway.
