Re: "Thanks Again"....
In Response To: Re: "Thanks Again".... ()

While I do not tend to spend as much as your example when I am in LV I have had a few questions that I have never really gotten an answer to. Questions that might be related here.

If you are one who generally would take $2500 with you to Vegas and use most of that for gambling, would it be better to get a line of credit for that amount or put a balance of that much at the cage and take draws on that balance? or is it just as good to take the cash, or travelers checks, with you and just play. Do you get better comps or offers from the casino if you draw from markers rather than just putting down cash?

Also, how little of an amount can one put on account or get a line on?

Would it pay for someone like myself to deposit say $1000 at the cage and take $100 or $200 markers as I play?

As a practical matter and one of security in a way, if someone were to say be winning and didn't want to carry the cash around with them but wanted the freedom of cash rather than checks, can you deposit your winnings along with your balance and just collect what is there at the end of your trip? Would they just write you a check or wire back to your bank or would you have to take the cash when you check out or leave?

Lastly, what kind of difference, if any could that make at say the $1000 level.
