More maps, more searching for maps. This place is a mess.

On the 1950s maps the road was "NN" going N&S and "WR" E&W. I couldn't find a 1960s road atlas in the collection.

I did find a rock and mineral map that shows hwy 40 as the road from Wendover to 93 (I'm guessing around Oasis). The road to Cobre is Hwy 30, and it still looks like 7 miles.

One way I can spot Cobre is the railroad line which ran through there, and still does. Cobre also shows on a 1970s Nevada map, which has no roads.

No disagreement, just more information.
