If your jeton smells like vinegar, STORE IT AWAY FROM THE OTHERS!!! It is probably made of cellulose acetate, and it will begin to affect any other cellulose acetate jetons that are in the area! 
Actually, that's what happens with dice, I'm assuming that jetons will have the same reaction.
