Hi Victor,
What the casino, and therefore the host would be interested in is what games you play at what level. If you play blackjack for at a minimum of $50 a hand for example, tell the host.
Just telling a host anything without you having any history with the casino will probably only get you an offer to make room reservations at what they call the casino rate.
My first room comp was a result of having a host make a reservation for me at the Paris LV. He quoted me $89 a night, them told me the rate could be adjusted when I checked out, based on my actual play during my stay. It was a three-night stay during Superbowl weekend three years ago. When I went to the counter to check out of the hotel, the clerk printed out a bill totaling a little under $400. I gave her my players card and told her that a host had told me I might be able to get the bill adjusted. She summoned a host over to her station and he ran my players card through the computer system. He then started putting check marks beside items on the itemized bill, then he handed it back to the clerk, telling her to only charge me for the items not checked. She looked at him after looking at the check marks and asked "even the room service?" and he said yes. All I paid for that weekend was local phone calls and a movie rental, the bill got adjusted down to about $30.
$25 minimum bets will get you comped rooms at many downtown hotels. The strip hotels require a higher level of action.
Hope this helps!
Bob
