Downtown, it has to be the Golden Nugget. When choosing a place to stay, I always ask myself where I'd like to be at the end of the night. Cannot beat the security at the Nugget, Horseshoe, Fremont, Four Queens and you can walk around at virtually any hour. On the strip it would be the Venetian or Caesar's for places to be at the end of the night. Also worthy of mention is the Rio. Great rooms and security. Of course, we rent a car when visiting and that is a plus for casino hopping.
