Re: Bleeding in Binder Pages?

I like Pam's idea of tab adhesive labels to seal shut two sides of the cardboard holder instead of staples... leaving one side open to slide the chip out.

The larger size cardboard holder also provides for lots of room to write important information such as; how much was paid for the chip, from whom, date, ebay info., or in the case of a seller; how much one is selling the chip for.

Also, because there are only 12 chips to a page, each page is much lighter and easier on the 3-ring binder so that the plastic ring holes don't tear as easily from the weight and the full-binders are much easier to handle. Some of these 20-pocket pages were originally designed for light in weight 35 mm slides, not heavy chips.

I too have not experienced any problems of bleeding with the inert mylar windows in the cardboard holders as I have with many soft vinyl type flips. The non-pvc plastic flips, which are much stiffer and offers great protection, are subject to cracking and breaking at the hinge from multiple handling.

For whatever it is worth, on less expensive chips, like current roulettes, I use only one half of the broken non-pvc flip to store my thousand or so roulette chips and I insert the flip into the page pocket sideways so the chip does not fall out of the open top.
