All I can say about the Sphinx chips is that there was a Sphinx in Reno open for a couple of years in the early 1940s. The chips are of an age to fit that time period. Also the amount of wear I've seen on these chips look about right for a club not open for a long time.
I'm sure Allan originally put them in TCR on the word of a collector he trusts. Lord knows I have to provide a ton of evidence to get him to believe me.
Lastly, I'll definitely buy your book if you put them in . Don't forget to give my green Sphinx with the one on the back a Rarity 10
