Does anyone know why the gaming commission did this new requirement and/or what prompted it? Seems like maybe they have come to the conclusion that the ultra LE chips have negatively impacted the public somehow and must have felt they needed to do something about it??? Why else would they care?
If they are going to get involved in the LE production process, I would recommend that they also consider requiring the casinos to indicate the number produced on the actual chips as well. This would stop any casino from doing the "re-issues" that we have seen in the past.
