Yes, I (and others) collect casino playing cards. At one time it was just casino cards, but with the advent of slot club cards, room key cards, player cards, VIP cards, etc., cards decks used for playing some of the games at a casino are called playing cards.
Anyway, there is an organized hobby for the collecting of playing cards (several of them actually) and casino playing cards is usually a branch or sub-division of their collecting intetrests.
Another interesting thing (to me) about collecting playing cards, is that it is not restricted to the collecting of full decks. Some groups collect jokers only, or aces only, while others collect a single card for the different back designs.
Anyway, I collect full decks of casino playing cards. I think I bottomed-out on the slippery slope a long time ago. I have a 2' x 10' length of carpet from The Orleans. I think I'll start a new thread....
What is the strangest collectible you have?
