"A" & "F-D-L" CHIP ID
In Response To: Re: Roulette Chips? ()

Unless one has first hand knowledge by players whom you can trust, these have to be generic chips. I found "N" inlay chips in a box of chips from the Nevada Palace back in the '80's. The antique dealer who claimed no knowledge said only that the gentlemen who sold them to her said they were Nevada Palace roulettes. But when I went to the Nevada Palace a manager said he had never seen the "N" inlays in play even as he id'd the other chips as obsolete "Nevada Club" chips where he said he used to work. But the Nevada Club was long closed and TCR doesn't show the "N" inlays as being from there or anywhere else. Further, the identifiable chips were in fact from The Nevada Palace (as per TCR) and not the Nevada Club. So I became 1) totally confused and 2) certain that alphabet inlays were unidentifiable; and 3) leave i.d. up to the pros. Also I paid 10 cents for each of 10 "N" chip so that taught me a lesson too. vbg
