Both of you speak truths..but it is dangerous to contact the bidders. I have found a couple of clear fraudulent offers and informed the sellers with the not unexpected results--they threatened every kind of action. In both cases I turned them in to eBay but did not write their bidders. Jim has more "guts" [and knowledge] then I. My advice is if you find a fraud, let Jim know about it and let him deal with it. If anyone can get the thing removed he can.
