You get 2 different schools in collecting.

Matchbook collectors always take the matches out (They only want the covers). The only acception is feature books (the matches has priting on them)

Casino collectors tend to keep the complete pack of matches.

I'm far more likely to spend more money on a full matchbook than a matchbook cover.
