Record keeping is at the top of the list. I have an excel spreadsheet of all my acquisitions. The first chip I ever purchased was a compass star chip made in the late 1800's (my favorite doodle) back in February, followed by a 3 links chip (reminded me of the Oddfellows logo). I list the price, where I bought it, etc. Every once in awhile, I scroll down to the total paid and make myself ill. During the past week, I noticed software for chip collectors on eBay. Now that I have a black lamp, it's fun looking for the UV markings (which I learned about right here).
