At the Hard Rock Casino this morning numbers were passed out at 8:00 a.m. to individuals who waited in line for the Rodeo chips. I am in favor of using numbers but apparently they allowed people to get back in line and get multiple numbers. Those who showed up between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. were not given numbers and had to get at the end of the line. When they started selling the chips those who had multiple numbers got back in line after using their lower number and made it thru the line several times while those without numbers did not make it to the cashier to buy chips prior to them running out. Obviously there were some upset people.
I suggested to the Main Cashier personnel that in the future that anyone who is not in line at 10:00 a.m. go to the rear of the line, regardless of whether on not they have a number. This way after buying chips one would have to go to the end of the line and would not be able to use a second number to crowd back in line. I think this would be fair for all and give everyone a better chance to get chips.
If someone has a better idea I sure hope they make it public.
