While I was at the Palms (30 Nov. 2002) trying to get the set of four Premium Tokens, and after getting a total of five, without getting the "N9NE Steak House" - I thought I'd try one of the other two machines I hadn't played yet. The Strange thing was, that as soon as I got up, one of the "SUITS" came over and "turned off" the machine!?!
I went to the other two to find that they too had been "turned off" as well!!!

GASP!!!

WHY??? I wondered... Later I saw the "SUIT" that turned off the machine that I was playing, and went over to talk with him about this strange thing... He said that he received word to "turn off the machines"... He went on to hazard (a guess?) that they were out of Premium Tokens. I thought that this was strange, as the machine I was playing, had been refilled while I was palying it... And no mention of the pending strange event...

After about an hour to an hour and a half later, my wife and I picked up our son from "Kids Quest", and subsequently walked over to Garduno's (GREAT MEXICAN FOOD!!! If you like Mexican Food, I HIGHLY recommend Garduno's!!!), I noticed that the machines were being turned on by one of the slot tech's!!!???!!! (I can't believe that they received a shipment of Premium tokens late on Saturday - so the earlier comment from the "SUIT" is again curious...) - So after ordering my dinner, I "ran" out to play the PT machines before they got turned off again... I got two more PT's, yet alas, not the 'N9NE Steak House' I was looking for...

I later saw a gentleman playing on one of the machines, and asked if he had been able to get the set of four yet, as I saw this gentleman playing on one of the other machines earlier - BTO (Before the Turn Off), and he said that he had, except now he was going for the $200 PT!!! He asked me if I collected the $200's, and unfortunately I can't afford them right now... Yet I REALLY would like to get my hands on the Slots-A-Fun $200 - IMHO (In My honest Opinion) it is the BEST looking PT I've seen!!!
I went on to commented to the gentleman that I was missing the 'N9NE Steak House' $10 PT. He indicated that he would trade one of the ones he is accumulating for the $200 if I'd like - MAN, did I jump on that one!!! I didn't catch his name, and only wish him luck on getting the $200 from the PALMS!!! I would also like to thank him again for his generousity in offering me the trade!!!

Yes, I know it is a long story, filled with some details that probably don't need to be in it, yet is was indeed a strange day PT hunting...

I was wondering if anyone else had the "Turn-off" the machine experience before, and if they knew why???
