I went to my #1 sons home in Rio Vista,Ca. for Thanksgiving. Great time BTW. While there, he said there was a casino over in Isleton. Just 5 mi. away called Hotel Del Rio. I'd never heard of it. I said, "hey, let's go check it out." We did and sure enough, here's an old hotel that said "Casino." No casino, but a card room. A sign on the door said "Open Fri. & Sat. 6 pm to 12 pm. We were there about 2 pm. I could see through a diamond shaped window to the inside. Small room with a BJ table and 3 poker tables. Tables had chip trays, but no chips. Having # 2 son and other company with me,I didn't get a chance to go back at 6 pm. Anybody ever been there that knows anything about this place ?
While there we walked on down the street. Another place (a resturant, forget the name) had a sign in the window that said "Poker." The resturant was open, so I went inside. A chinese waiter was there. So I asked about the poker game. He said "oh yes, 7 o:crock. Back room." I asked, "do they use chips?" He looked at me kinda blank. I made a circle with my thumb and forefinger and said, "poker chips,do they use poker chips for money?" He said, "chips, yes, poker chips. No open till 7 o:crock. Needless to say, I didn't get back there either. Anybody have any info on these places?
Thanks........Rick
