Mike,
I don't see anyone promoting drug use (well maybe except for Al, just a little, by artists) in this thread.
There are already laws on the books against driving under the influence of drugs. Some people do that NOW, and when they are caught, they face the consequences, as they well should.
Drugs are already in schools, have been since I was in school. Keeping children off of any drug is the responsibility of the children's parents, not the government making such an activity illegal. Age restrictions for legal purchase/use are one thing, possession or use laws by any other act are another thing.
What has been being presented by all three lawyers that you've been arguing with is, treat all drugs like we treat tobacco and alcohol. Regulate them, tax them, and control their distribution legally. I don't see that happening in my lifetime here, but, doing so would take the criminal element out of the equation, and that would help`us all in my opinion.
...not a lawyer, but have been told that I argue like one regards,
Bob
