If I had been the lady I would have told him that the bet lost. 
Actually, I wouldn't have done that. Had I been the guy I probably would have given her $100 and sent her a dozen roses.
Whenever I go to Vegas, my employess always give me some money to gamble for them. I always put it straight up on 17. They've never won yet, but they keep giving me money to bet with.
