I have been investigating the same thing and the more I see the more confused I get. My wife wanted a video or digital still camera for christmas and when investigating I saw that for just a little more I could get the digital video camera. But in talking to sales people, they indicate that while the video camera will take still photos they tend to be of poorer quality. So I am still at a loss. There is one video that records on a mini-DVD and that has to be the wave of the future. As far as regular still cameras that record on a floppy, the Sony Mavica was considered the best a year or so ago. I don't know if that has changed or not. I would also appreciate any help that others could lend on this topic.
