Interesting, as I mentioned earlier, I have two of those chips. One is dead-on medal aligned, while the other one is just as you have described. When I spin it, the "R" in "SILVER" is at 12:00 (the whole hot stamp aligns to 10:30).
I'm beginning to suspect both are Borland knock-offs. But somewhat more interesting is that the medal aligned chip is slightly, and I do mean slightly smaller in diameter, while the other one is a bit thicker. The medal aligned chip has a whiteness to it, when compared to the beige of the others one.
I'd like to see a true non-Borland knock-off.
