Peter; I currently have over 100 requests though my popular A.C. new issues service by subscribers for these L.E. chips (that you admittedly don't care for) ... in which I have no personal financial gain interests. I am supporting the project 100% because I believe strongly in the purpose that the fund-raising money will go to. This project was never intended to provide "chips at face" participants an opportunity to provide traders with other chippers around the country, which I personally now believe was what started this whole thread ... and as a result has unfortunately deteriorated to where inflamatory comments have been posted about the entire well-meaning program.

For you to suggest in YOUR opinion that "this sort of arrangement is not the best option for raising funds and that they may elect to not continue this practice in the future" is a judgement call for others to make.

Who are "THEY" to whom you refer? The CC & GTCC President has approved the project, the CC & GTCC Building Committee has approved the project, as has the CC & GTCC A.C. Chapter officers. Because Peter Sanders does not agree with it ... does not make it any less worthy a fund raising effort for a worthwhile project.

Let those who support our project rally around our efforts through their participation, and those non-believers can ignore us and throw brickbats instead of bouquets. I'm proud of our Atlantic City Chapter and of our dedicated Chapter President Dick Brach and what we are trying to contribute for the benefit of CC & GTCC as a whole ... not for special interests. We've extended a cordial invitation to EVERYBODY to participate ... but we can't force ANYBODY to participate. If folks like the program; buy into it. If folks don't like the program; ignore it ... but what useful purpose does it serve to "dis" it?
