I thought they gave up and stopped slabbing?

Nice part is I can carry this in my pocket and show it to my local collector friends who have been screaming about how they hope it doesn't get to bank notes and the article we had a big, big laugh about when it told of slabbing Comic Books.

Just imagine. You can't read it, touch it or know if you have more than a cover with some old paper inside it?

After reading the article on fakes and counterfeits (and much more) in the club Mag. I'd never want any valuable chip, sealed in plastic. How would I be able to examine it close up, to see if it's repaired, restored, a fake or had alterations.

Basically, there is just something about holding a casino chip in ones hand, and they aren't going to be dammaged by touching them, like a coin might. (I'm not in favor of slabbed/gradded coins either)

Here's one auction, that if I win, I won't be broken hearted. grin

By the way I did get a nice reply from the seller, who offers a simple flat rate shipping and will ship additional items for a reduced rate. Most of his auctions are old railroad, tokens and exonumia. He probably didn't know these were Mfg. samples when he listed them.
