Went over to check out the Construction activity and play a little Hold-em yesterday. As you may/may not know the Seminole Indian Tribe has merged with Hard Rock and are building a joint venture Casino together. The origional Seminole Tribe Casino is still open during construction. Though still in its early deveolopment, it is obvious that it will be impressive. Took some good pics and will be sending an article to CCTN. The model they have out in the lobby is incredible! All the employees are VERY excited. Currently the Seminole/Hard Rock have applied for a Class III gaming liscense. If approved it will bring Vegas Style gaming to a land based Florida casino. Spring 2004 is the projected opening date. I picked up some of the current Seminole $1 house chips to trade for those that need them. I was also able to find (2) $1 Grand Opening (GO) chips as well when the Seminoles opened the poker room back in 1994?? (guess on year). They will have a whole new rack come opening day, so I guess you can say these chips are soon to be obsolete? I'll keep everyone posted on the construction progress. What I need before 2004 is a CCTN Press Pass for the Grand Opening!
