Pete- I don't think many of the folks who planned out life had me in mind for any of the good things.

law school never expected me to graduate with honors. The law firm I got hired by never had in mind that I'd give it up for rock and roll and a stupid haircut. The MAJOR news corp I work for never had me in mind for anything more than the occasional color commentary on rock music. They certainly never thought they'd give me a raise on a NYC journalist salary to move to a town with half the cost of living and no taxes in order to give them a Las Vegas presence. They now tell me every week that it was the best thing they ever did.

I am the epitome of what no one had in mind. That is what I feel I have to offer to kids who feel their entire life is planned out for them.

Do your own thing KID. Iv'e done it and I am educated and successful.
