Got the chance to spend a night in a high-roller's suite at the Hard Rock for the first time last weekend. Coke, booze, pot, booze, and a bachelorette party. THere are things in that group that I don't approve of, but I kept my mouth shut and observed. Fun being up there. 11th floor. The ladies had the main suite, (about 1000 sf) and an attached room (another 400 sf) -- all areas estimated after a bong hit. What blew my mind was that this suite was so much nicer than any rock star's suite I've ever been in. I've been in Moby's suite, I've been in many other rock star's rooms -- this setup was 4 times the size. A typical rock star suite makes up half this sitting room. three bathrooms in all, bidet in the master bath. My only problem was that there was no plasma-screen TV. What a drag.
Two days later I'm staring Celine Dion in the face as she fielded questions at Caesars. She drove a new Crossfire (way cool car) 50 feet across the stage and admitted she was thrilled because she never gets to drive with all her limos. I asked her what she thought of the Coliseum, and she said she had tried out the seats (loved them) and tried to see every last row from thew stage (she claism she couls). I hate the skeeve, but she seems ready to give Vegas her all.
Just a few random experiences from the last week. Take 'em for what they're worth, and forward questions.
