Good question and I'm certainly willing to consider that my chips may not be Chipco chips.
Yes They Are:
1. The info I have seen from creditable sources sez that El San Juan was the first use of Chipcos in a casino.
2. Serge Nakkachian, the eBay seller of these chips stated to me that "the collection is an addition(sic) of samples of their products , kept by Caro
throughout the ages, plus numberless samples sent by other manufacturers of the
world.' These chips may be Chipcos sent to Caro as a professional consideration.
No, They May Not Be:
1. Why couldn't the chips I have really be prototypes manufactured by Caro or others on a trial run using ESJ artwork & the results failed to beat out the bid by Chipco. We know that other makers can make similar chips.
2. These were Caro chips in their collection merely as samples of manufacturing technique.
3. I too, have the advert chips John has (Lg Key w/coin) so we know Caro has some chips under the sun we don't readily recognize.
Another way to approach the barcode question... does anyone have a known Caro chip with the barcode UV marking?
