or are you saying they are Chipcos because we think EVERYTHING that looks like these are Chipcos.
I appreciate your post - because this at least tell me one of two things:
Chipco DID use the barcodes (but they didn't - at least they don't think so!)
OR
Some other manufacturer made a lot of chips (like the Harrah's, Casino Bled and San Juans and god knows how many other chips) - and they aren't Chipcos... we just assumed they were.
And I would be more surprised if your chips had NOT come out of the Caro collection. It was some other chips that came out of that collection that made me suspicious in the first place and start pressing Chipco (again- tried a couple times last year) for a concrete identification on the Harrah's.
There are quite a few "Chipco style" chips that came out of the Caro collection - and if anyone has chips they assume are Chipco... has anyone else DIRECTLY confirmed their ID with Chipco??
Or did you just assume they are Chipcos like I did? (me and everyone else it looks like!)
Isn't anyone else wondering "what the heck are these"? about the chips they got from Caro?? or noticing that some of the chips are just a little "different"?
Mark - contact Chipco and see if they made THOSE San Juans! I'm ALMOST ready to bet you money (and I said ALMOST ) that they'll start with, "Yes - they look like ours." and wind up saying, "Uhhh... we have no record of those."
The barcode UV may be the identifying factor (for now at least) of "Chipcos" that aren't really "Chipcos" - but of the "mystery manufacturer" that I guess I'll be trying to figure out how we're going to identify.
