After I accidentally dumped a couple hundred on his table at the 2001 convention , I see WHY he sees fit to invest a few extra bucks to keep them in place!! I was horrified - but he recovered nicely! He even graciously assured me, "It's ok."
But since then, I too spend a little more to keep mine from suffering a similar fate as them slotcards are slippery little buggers!
