Why should you or I have a choice "Feel generous, give, if not don't...." if they should go hungry; not receive the meds they need and even die when we do not have other choices as to what our government does with our tax dollars?

An additional 5% or 10% of our income would solve the problem and government can still call the shots. Why should we suggest to give and not suggest that our government take?

...and we boast being world leaders?
