I found the virus and deleted it in accordance with the instructions. I then talked to our tech people. They affirmed that it was a virus and had been spreading for a week. They also said that the deletion process set forth in Allan's post would not necessarily rid the computer of the virus. They downloaded a "Symnatic" @ tool and ran it--no further virus was found.

One tech said that they had not heard or read that this bugbear virus would damage a pc--just gets into your address book and goes out to all. They also said that it couldn't get out through our e-mail software system.
