The last couple days has been a little crazy trying to find out the truth about the Sam's Town 25 cent chip. After exchanging e-mails with Matt Sessums, who works in the dice pit at Sam's, I found out that there never was and never will be a 25 cent game. The GM ordered 25 cent chips along with the 50 cent chips with the intention of having a 25 cent game. After figuring costs there will be no game. There was a mistake with a fill at one point and the 25 cent chips were put on a game. It's unknown how many got out but they were quickly sent back to the cage. Bob Gabel and I went to the cage this morning and BEGGED for the chips. The cage lady went to the back to talk with the boss and came back and said we could buy 2! I jokingly said "2 stacks, right"? 50 cents she said.. Soooooo tonight after work I went back to the cage and after paying off the cage lady more than I paid for the chips I was able to get 2 stacks. I can't see many of these chips making it out of the cage at this point. After my phone calls to Sam's Town I didn't think I would get any so I put in a snipe bid for the one that was on E-Bay. I didn't get back in time to cancel the snipe so if I out bid any of you I'm sorry! There will be a 1 chip limit per person, I'm sorry I can't get more. Now.. for the price on the chip. I talked with Bob about the chip quite a bit before I left. If no more get out $10 is too cheap, if they open a 25 cent game in a year with the same chips, $5 is too much. Input would be greatly appreciated here. I want to be fair.
