Actually both chips came in cases of sort though neither was a CD case.
The Larry Clark chip came in a case about 3 inches square with a little clip on base for display purposes.

The Wolf Chip came in a little 2 inch square snap cover case with a little piece of foam backing to hold the chip in place.
