The funny thing is -- why would most casinos see the CD case as the optimal commemorative chip container? It makes sense that the Hard Rock would do it -- they are a music-themed property. I would personally like to see some other casinos come up with their own distinctive packaging.

For the record - this is in no way a sleight to anyone else's CD-case packaging. Gene's Playboy cases were beautiful, and I support anything with half-naked women. I'm just noting that this is a new field, and with all the innovative people out there, there's no reason the CD jewel case should become the default commemorative packaging.
