That is one more example of things I think this club should be doing. I'm a very new member, and all I've been doing with that membership so far is attending the occasional meeting, buying some chips, and seeing how stuff works. But as Prof Lewin and I have mentioned in posts on this board, it's about time this club starts getting political.
1) Reform the Hobby Protection Act
2) Lobby casinos with complaints over new release policies
3) Formulate an official opinion on private issue chips (see the complaints regarding renee's chips) and make casinos and Gaming aware of those opinions
4) Police the eBay boards and other forums for bogus issues -- approach the appropriate parties
Those are just a few of the areas where this club could become more than a meeting place. It should become a political force.
Give me a year and I'll run for something.
