Pam, thanks much. But how could you possibly see places like that and not go into them?!
I'll check to see if I have a good enough map of Nevada to tell whether Hwy. 40 and Chestnut Street in Carlin are the same. Chances are though, a map won't be detailed enough. Heck, Carlin isn't detailed enough! It's easy to miss!
As for the State Inn and the 449'er Club being open, it's possible we don't have the most recent info. Sometimes we're informed that a place is closed, when in fact it's only partially closed: table games are gone, but there are still a few slots in the place. Unfortunately, if our spies don't go INTO the joints, there's no way of knowing, is there? Perhaps someone else here is familiar with Carlin and can tell us.
Know nothing about the Chalet in Wells, I'm afraid, or the Spring Inn in Las Vegas. We'll add the Spring Inn as a slots-only casino, though, thanks.
The Commercial Hotel issued a slot token - and I'll see if I can locate it (I think I have it) to scan - that said Monte Carlo Casino on one side. None of their chips ever did, so far as I know, but we list it both ways in TGT because we try to list what appears on both tokens and chips. The other side of the token, BTW, said Commercial Hotel and showed that big ol' bear. I figure he was way lost and deserved to get stuffed - polar bears in Elko aren't exactly a common sight!
Thanks for the information Pam, but next time get out of the car!
Michael
