Lammers are used in many ways in a casino. In Baccarat they are used to mark how much juice is owed by the player. In roulette they're used, as someone mention below, to mark how much a stack of chips is worth. In all games lammers are used when credit is issued to show surveillance why your giving $50,000 to someone. The lammer is picked up when the marker is signed by the player. There are TONS of ways lammers are used. Of course there are also lammers for buys, lays, off, on, missed blind, small blind, ect. I use a $100,000 lammer as a ball mark when I play golf. I'm sure not taking any $100,000 markers anytime soon.
