Rene,
You always state that your actions are to make the hobby better, to do good things for chip collectors...
These $1 chips would be great for the hobby except for the fact that you have cornered the market and are charging $5.00 each for them. Since yesterday I have asked the largest six Southern Nevada LE dealers and NONE of us will be carrying these chips. You state that out of town collectors will easily be able to get them through their new issue provider for $7.00/each. Based on what I'm being told this will not be the case. Of the 4,000 you are making I would bet that you will have at least 3,000 at the end of the show. No big deal to you though: you will make $3,750 profit, the building fund will get $250 and the out of state collectors will have eight holes in their collection.
Here is where you will be screwing the hobby though.... I hope it doesn't happen but I would almost bet anything that it will. Someone WILL call gaming control on you. This will put heat on the Palace Station, on you and on the LE hobby in general. Why would you want to bring this onto the hobby that you claim to care so much about?
There's nothing wrong with making money... however if you take a step back and really look at what you are doing with these live gaming chips (not NCV's) I think you will realize that you are making a big mistake.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Reno in just a few days.
Dave
