In case you've never seen how a diecut-inlay poker chip is made, here's one that fell apart on me. Makes a nice illustration of the construction of these chips, though. A die is made to stamp the desired white design out of thin plastic. The plastic is then put into the mold with the soft clay/plastic and compressed. The clay squishes into the cutout areas and makes a flush chip with the desired design surrounded by the clay.
