Archie, what many of us fail to realize is that this or any other chip, may be rare to that individual person--assuming she is not a regular chip collector.

I met a gal last night (while playing in a poker tournament) who regularly sells chips on ebay along with a multitute of other items--not casino related--who knows absolutely nothing about chips.

She just happen to have some "rare" California chips given to her and she was going to put them on ebay shortly. They were from a long closed California casino and she assumed they were "rare" because of their age. Little did she know that there are racks and racks of them in someone elses possession.

Just a thought.
