2139419351 WATCH THE FUR FLY.
The Riverside Resort "Don Laughlin 98 / 99" strike was supposed to have
been minted in Global Minting, (G) !!! The "LM" mint mark indicates
Letcher Mint WHICH WAS acquired by Global !!!
The strike in question, with LM mint mark is listed as an error strike !
It was probably struck after the take over and was released with "LM"
when it should have been released as a "G", (I don't know the date of the
takeover)!!
This is an error piece. The Gaming Commission ordered (in 1997, I believe)that when there was a change in design, then the .999 had to come off the rim (because the rim is not silver). When these 1998-99 strikes were issued, some employee of the mint used the wrong front to go with the correct back. These are fairly scarce
