Hate breeds hate. Death brings death. It's not a quetion of who's hate is justified. They can certainly justify their hatred towards us, as easily as we can justify ours towards them. A wise man once said that an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

I am not against our war on Al-Qaeda. I believe we must do what must be done to defend ourselves. I will kill or die for the right cause, and to a large extent, this is the right cause. But I will never take joy in either. I'm not being an idealist. I'm being a pragmatist.
