Steve; How many of these 23 year-old Resorts olympic medals have you seen offered on ? I believe that my ebay description is fairly accurate. If other sellers wish to substitute "seldom offered" instead of the "R" word, that's o.k. with me ... as long as it's an accurate assessment.
The truth be known, I don't object to the use of the "R" word ... when it is justified. I simply don't think that relatively common chips selling for less than $10 or $25 constitutes "rare".
I have had several requests for this medal ever since it appeared in my 2001 catalog. Unfortunately, I never had any extras to offer. About two months ago, I purchased two of them from an antiques dealer at a tent sale in Margate, NJ. I sold one medal the same day I purchased them to an A.C. Chapter Member that I bumped into at another flea market that afternoon in Absecon. I'm sure there are other similar medals around, but these are the only other two such pieces I have encountered, other than the one in my personal collection, and I've decided to let this last one go to the highest bidder... without placing a reserve on the piece.
BTW: How did you like my finger reflection in the 2nd photo next to the camera lens? Now THAT'S Proof-Like!!
