I was asleep since the attacks happened at 5:45 a.m. on the West Coast. The phone woke me and my wife told me, you'd better turn on the TV. I did and quickly realized I'd better get showered and dressed. The phone rang while I was in the shower to make sure I was coming in to work ASAP. Going in to San Francisco I realized very few cars were traveling in my direction but it was like rush hour leaving the city. I worked though the day and into the evening until 3 a.m. on Sept. 12. There hasn't been a day since that I haven't thought about what happened that day.
