If I owned or had the opportunity to run a casino I would be doing pretty much what you are doing at the Palms. I do believe that a chip can be used as a good marketing tool.

In my prior posts I was just trying to outline why a casino would put out cheaply made ugly chips, however that does not mean I agree with the concept of putting out cheaply made chips.

A few of my favorite (better looking) fractional chips are from the 3 new Detroit casinos. You know it cost them more to make the chips than the face value on the chips. They somehow understand that these chips if walked from a casino are worth much more than the 25c (face value) in marketing value.
