I misread the metal center part, and read it as brass core. Of course it would be easy to pop out old and add new, or find something in a dumpster and mix and match.

I still prize my Counterfeit Hotel Fremont $25, which was sold as such. I believe people could make a nice profit, and still be honest about the altered chips.
