I couldn't even find a decent house chip when I was there a month ago. They all had the "Chipco Fade."
The room I was in smelled like raw sewage, and then they put me in another room that still smelled, but it wasn't as bad. I think they have a problem with their ventilation, which isn't surprising given the shape of the hotel.
Lots of dust and thrown objects visible from the balconies, and out of business cafe, and a good number of out of order machines give the place a dingy look.
But hey, it's modeled on an Egyptian pyramid...maybe that's part of the plan.
And truth be told, for $59 a night, it's hard to complain too much, but I wouldn't compare Luxor to Bellagio or Mohegan Sun.
